

For 109 years Channel 3 Kids Camp has been an exciting playground and retreat for Connecticut boys & girls. Our overnight program allows campers ages 8 - 13 to design their own adventure through a wide variety of camp activities that include:

We offer a safe, active, affordable, fun programs for every camper! Overnight camp runs for 9 different sessions, in one-week intervals. Children are separated by age and gender in our cozy screened in cabins . Wash-houses are close to the cabins. Showers are available in the shower house by the pool.

2019 Overnight Summer Camp Sessions
OVERNIGHT CAMP QUICK FACTS

Camp is an inclusive environment. Children of all abilities are accepted at Channel 3 Kids Camp

Campers will have 3 to 1 ratio in typical population. For those children with special needs 1:1 or 2:1 care is available

Breakfast, lunch, dinner and a nutritious snack before bedtime is provided
-
Campers are able to choose individual program elective as well as try all programs though daily schedule
-
Campers wake up at 7:30am for breakfast at 8:00am and lights out at 9:00pm

All counselors have background check and are trained in various areas of child behavior management
-
24 hour nursing care is provided there are two nurses on site for most weeks

You may contact your child through email contact form, click here. We will encourage the child to write back and send to you. We discourage child from calling home or parent to call in as it does cause some cases of homesickness.

We discourage parents from sending extra food or snacks.

ARE YOU USING BUS TRANSPORTATION?
Campers must be to the bus stop 30 minutes before departure. Transportation departure and arrival times are included in the information sheet received with your confirmation.

 ARE YOU TRANSPORTING YOUR CHILD TO CAMP?
Please have your child here on the first day of camp no earlier than 2pm. Pick up your child on Friday at 2pm. Camp address is 73 Times Farm Road, Andover, CT 06232

LOST AND FOUND POLICY
Channel 3 Kids Camp is not responsible for lost or damaged items. Please label all clothing and belongings and encourage your child to pay attention to their items. Channel 3 Kids Camp collects lost items on Fridays. All items are bagged and washed and labeled as to what session they were from. Bags are saved for TWO weeks only. Items that have been labeled are kept separately by session and will be held for minimum two weeks or more as space allows.

5 person household with an income of $92,000 has an income of $18,400 per household member. The weekly camp fee is $180.
8 person household with an income of $184,000 has an income of $23,000 per household member. The weekly camp fee is $255.
3 person household with an income of $205,000 has an income of $68,333 per household member. The weekly camp fee is $855.
This Camper Fee Chart does not apply to children or adults that require 1:1 or 1:2 care. However, scholarships applications are available upon request for overnight camp only.
***Campers attending Channel 3 Kids Camp with special needs must attend an open house or schedule to meet with the Director before camper may attend camping week.

DO YOU HAVE A CHILD WITH SPECIAL PHYSICAL OR DEVELOPMENTAL NEEDS?
Cancellation and Refund Policy – Overnight and Day Camp/ Respite Weekends
Registration cancellations received within 14 days of start of camp session will not be eligible for a refund. Participants canceling due to medical illness, with written doctor’s orders may request a full refund.
The Directors reserve the right to dismiss any participant whose influence and conduct becomes detrimental to the best interests of the program. No refunds will be made for dismissed participants or withdrawals.
Our cancellation policy has been created due to the increased demand for available participant space and to ensure fairness to all who wish to attend Channel 3 Kids Camp.
