At Channel 3 Kids Camp

we believe all children should have the opportunity to connect with the outdoors through recreational and educational camp experiences regardless of economic, physical or developmental challenges. We have programs for children as young as 3 to adults.

Each year nearly 3,000 individuals from Connecticut and areas throughout New England attend the Channel 3 Kids Camp in Andover, CT. The unique, year-round program makes it possible for all children to attend camp without financial restrictions.

 

• Inclusive Overnight Summer Camp for children ages 8-13

• Inclusive Summer Day Camp for children ages 3-13

• Year-round Open Arms Child Care Center welcoming children ages 1- 5 years

• Year-round Teen Leadership Program: social, academic, career and cultural development for ‘graduated’ campers.

• Siblings Connection session which reunites separated siblings in foster care through a therapeutic camp experience.

• Camp Independence provides a camping experience to children who are visually impaired, blind or deaf blind.  

• Partners with Epilepsy Foundation for a week of camp for children with epilepsy.

• Partners with American Dermatology Association for a week of camp for children with serious skin conditions. 

• Respite weekends held monthly from fall through spring

• Hosts Nature’s Classroom, a premier outdoor education program for students and teachers during the school year. The residential environmental program promotes an academic experience, with an emphasis on scientific inquiry and critical thinking.  

• Facility rentals for group outings

• One week of adult special needs programming during the summer sessions
