Our Facility
Channel 3 Kids Camp sits on 150 acres, by the shores of the Skungamaug River, in Andover and Coventry, CT. There are more than 25 buildings that include sleeping cabins, an open air pavilion, dining hall, recreation hall, arts & crafts cabin , 42’ x 75’ swimming pool and more. Our facility is available for rent.
However, we’re so much more than an exceptional facility filled with incredible activities! We have over 108 years of experience of providing elite staff, quality programming, and endless adventure. All children deserve a ‘Kids Camp Experience’ !

Turn Lodge
Turn Lodge is the main building on the Almada Lodge – Times Farm Camp campus. It was built in 1983. At 8,000 square feet it is the largest building on campus and houses the dining hall as well as the majority of the year-round activities currently run at camp.
Freeman Center
The Freeman Center was built in 1995 and was renovated in 2014. Freeman currently houses camp's year-round preschool in addition to 47 beds and is wheelchair accessible.
Ashley's Place
Thanks to the passion of our CEO, Board of Directors, and collaboration with The Ashway Foundation, Ashley's Place opened in 2014. This accessible dorm style cabin sleeps 64 and can provide children and adults with a fully inclusive camp experience.

Sleeping Cabins
The fifteen cabins are small individual buildings that house campers during the summer. These cabins typically accommodate 6 campers and 2 staff. In addition, we have 5 large cabins for our older campers, accommodating 14.
Recreation Hall
The Recreation Hall was built in 1940 and is currently, in many senses, the primary indoor gathering space for any large group during the summer months. The potential for this building to accommodate year-round activities provides the collaboration with a programming space unmatched on campus. The character and “feel” of the building is irreplaceable. There is a true rustic feel to the building that adds to the charm of the Camp and the overall character of the camper’s experience.
Jennifer Hawke-Petit Health Lodge
Made possible through generous contributions from the Petit Family Foundation and KBE Building Corporation, this facility is part of a Master Plan to develop the necessary infrastructure to become A Camp for All Kids. The Petit Family Foundation funded the project with a $100,000 grant and honors the memory of Jennifer Hawke-Petit who was a nurse.

Pool
Our 24x75 swimming pool is a refuge for campers to relax from summers heat. One of our most popular activity areas, children participate in free swim as well as periods for instructional swim.

Rockville Bank
Development Building
Built in 2008 and funded by Rockville Bank, this building houses our development team. As part of our renovations for our Camp for all Kids, this building is also ADA compliant.

HBA Pavilion
Built for our 100th Anniversary, Hartford Home Builders Association donated all the work and materials for this beautiful open air pavilion. We are so grateful to the Association as this addition has allowed us to serve many more campers and have a place to go during rainy days!
